Nerviano, 2 November 2022 NMS Group S.p.A. (NMS Group), the largest oncological R&D company in Italy, announces the appointment of Mr. Emiliano Sala as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Sala is a highly accomplished CFO with broad finance and business experience at several large organizations, including in healthcare, where he has led financial planning, turnaround and business process management. He joins NMS Group to lead the business control and administrative team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. He will be part of the Executive Leadership Team.

Mr. Sala comes to NMS Group as Separation Project Leader – Italy, Spain, Portugal, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Srl with over 385 m€ in sales, in charge of the spin-off and demerger of Consumer Healthcare division from GSK Group. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial officer and Board Member at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Italy for six years, leading the financial planning and transformation program, including several major M&A operations. Before that, he was Chief Financial Officer and Board Member at Novartis Consumer Health Italy & Greece. He joined Novartis in 2000 and held a series of increasing responsibility leading financial reporting, business planning, audits and performance turnaround in difference business units and facilitated the growth of the company during his tenure.

Mr. Sala holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan. He succeeds Barbara Marenco, who is appointed Head of Procurement of NMS Group, effective immediately.
